As Mara and Sav would know, I'm the type of bookworm that will not read for a couple of months (Due to being busy and having a lot of school/work to focus on) but when I do read my first book in awhile, I completely fixate and have this binge reading session for the next 6 months. I know you're probably looking at me with this look of disgust or confusion, but I do it because I'm the type of person that just needs to completely give myself over to something. I don't like giving only half of my attention to something, or half of what I can do. I can only ever give 100% or 0%. I'm like that with everything!
So...I may or may not be in the middle of that right now.
You cannot judge me though! I'm sick, so I've had the time to sit down and really put all my attention into two books I've been fanning myself over and just fixating on.
Let's start with the covers!
First off, I'm absolutely IN LOVE with the cover. It resonates so well with me 'cos I am constantly reading fan fiction and would most likely not notice an attractive dude behind me because of it. From what I've read so far (39 pages in) she is me in every way. Can't eat in front of others, anxious about new places and new people and new experiences and basically everything new, obsessed with her fandoms (In this case, it's to represent Harry Potter, so I don't particular connect to that part), and can't focus with other people around her. It's me to a T. It's scary. I LOVE IT.
So far from what I've read, I'm going to be fangirling throughout it.
"It's Jack's birthday, and he's excited about turning five. He lives with his Ma in Room, which has a locked door and a skylight, and measures 11 feet by 11 feet. He loves watching TV, and the cartoon characters he calls friends, but he knows that nothing he sees on screen is truly real - only him, Ma and the things in Room. Until the day Ma admits that there's a world outside" .
And that's why I love reading books :)
